When the post season rolls around for volleyball in less than a month either Pella or Knoxville will have an early exit after the first round in Class 3A…that’s because the two rivals will battle each other in the opening round of the Regionals in Pella Monday October 26th. The pairings for all classes were released yesterday by the IGHSAU. The semifinals will also be played in Pella October 29th with the Regional Final at SE Polk November 3rd. Other teams in the regional include Chariton, Carlisle, ADM, Saydel, Norwalk and Bondurant Farrar. In Class 2A two area teams will battle in the opening round as Pella Christian will host Pleasantvile Tuesday October 20th. The next two rounds will be played at Pella Christian with the Regional Final at Washington November 3rd. Other teams in that regional include Eddyville Blakesburg, Albia, Wayne, Clarke, Central Decatur and I-35. PCM opens tournament play at C-M-B October 20th . In Class 1A 2nd ranked Twin Cedars will host either Lynnville Sully or Montezuma Wednesday October 21. Melcher Dallas will also be in action that same night on the other side of that bracket as they will host SE Warren.
