Knoxville hosts Pella in volleyball action tonight. The Panthers are dubbing tonight night Pack the Gym Night and are asking all Knoxville fans to wear black. Knoxville is coming off a 2-4 day at the Newton Invitational and stand at 10-10 on the season. Knoxville may be a decided underdog tonight but Coach Eric Fee says his girls are out to prove they can play with the better teams in the area. Fee says Pella is one of the best teams in the area and adds that his team will have to play near mistake free to have a chance. But he adds that all he is asking of his players is to give themselves a chance to win. Pella meanwhile is coming of their win at the Newton tournament where they went 6-0 on the day. Pella is ranked 5th in Class 3A and is off to their best start ever at 23-4 overall and 3-0 in the LHC. Coach Bob Fessler again is stressing to his girls that they have to be ready to play every game and can’t overlook anyone, especially Knoxville who he knows is much improved from a year ago. With wins in tonight’s match at Knoxville and against Pella Christian Thursday at Pella, Pella could all but lock up the LHC title. Freshmen and J-V matches start at five-30 with the varsity match at seven-30.
