Pella Christian makes the long road trip to Mount Ayr tonight and a win will earn the Eagles a Class 1A District 6 championship for the second consecutive year. Coach Rich Kacmarynski says they are aware of the situation but their focus all week has been on just playing their best football tonight and continuing to improve:

“One of the great things about this team and our program is the kids do focus on one thing at a time and right now our focus is solely on Mount Ayr. We know if we take care of business now the championship is ours but we haven’t even talked about the district championship at all this week…just Mount Ayr who we know will be a tough football team”

The Eagles are 6-1 on the season and 5-0 in the district while Mount Ayr is 4-1 in district play.
