A Pella woman is among twelve new members serving on state boards and commissions, as appointed and announced Thursday by Governor Chet Culver. Ana Lopez-Dawson was appointed to the State Board of Education.
Among her accomplishments, Dawson founded Guardian Angel, a non-profit organization in Pella which helps children. She is also a former member of the Child Abuse Prevention Council in Des Moines and the former Vice-Chair of the Iowa Board of Psychology. Ana Lopez-Dawson currently practices clinical psychology in Des Moines.
