The class 3A District/Regional Cross Country Meet is today in Knoxville. The boys meet features three ranked teams including second ranked Pella, seventh ranked Grinnell and 14th ranked Knoxville. Pella coach Doug Cutler says they are familiar with all the boys teams and he is very confident Pella will be amongst the top teams. Meanwhile, Panthers Boys Coach Mike Moats says the second time around running on the Pine Knolls course will give the guys a chance to better their times. Girls Coach Erin Mikels is confident her runners will have a better experience than the first time. Both Knoxville teams finished second to Pella in the Knoxville Invitational three weeks ago. For Coach Cutler, he says the girls meet is a different story. There are four quality teams that will battle for the top three spots and everyone will have to be at their best. The meet starts at four at Pine Knolls in Knoxville with the top three teams and top ten individuals all advancing to the state meet October 31st in Fort Dodge.
