After waiting a few extra days due to rain the Pella girls and boys cross country teams are ready for Monday’s District/Regional meet at Pine Knolls in Knoxville. The Pella boys are ranked 2nd in Class 3A and coach Doug Cutler says they are hoping to win the meet but are definitely expecting to be in the top three to qualify for state. The girls are ranked 12th and will face some stiff competition to finish in the top three as 2nd ranked Williamsburg and 4th ranked Ballard will be there as well as Knoxville who he expects to be very competitive. The meet starts at 4pm Monday and the top three teams as well as the top 10 individuals will move on to the state meet Saturday in Fort Dodge.
