Knoxville and Pella’s cross country squads have waited a few extra days but today both teams will run in the class 3A District/Regional at Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville. The Panthers will be joined by 12 other schools from the region including Pella. Pella Coach Doug Cutler says their focus has not changed. The Pella boys are the highest ranked team at second in Class 3A and he says they are going in expecting to win. He says if the guys all run like they are capable they should be able to accomplish that. The girls he says will have to work a little harder because there are four very talented teams and only three qualify for state. Rain caused the meet that was scheduled for Thursday to be run today. The girls race will get underway at four with the boys going at around four-30. The top three teams and the top ten individuals qualify for the state meet in Fort Dodge on Saturday.
