A Palestinian advocate for peace in the conflict between his native land and Israel will speak at Central College next month. Daoud Nassar is visiting Iowa at the invitation of several peace organizations to share his message of a hope for peace when many have lost hope.

Each year, the Tent of Nations is hosted on land that belongs to Nassar’s family, which the Israeli military is trying to seize. The Tent of Nations event serves as an educational and cultural center for Israelis and Palestinians and attracts nearly 4,000 visitors annually. During the annual enclave, Nassar delivers his message of a nonviolent resistance that he believes can restore peace between Palestine and Israel.

Nassar’s speech is free and open to the public and will be held in the Graham Conference Center on the Central College campus at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6th.
