Angie Berry placed third to lead the Central College women’s cross country team to a third-place finish at the Iowa Conference meet in Waverly Saturday. The Dutch men placed sixth. Three Central women earned all-conference honors. Seniors Amber Mayer and Amy Ledvina placed ninth and twelfth respectively to join Berry on the podium. For the men, Freshman John Gonzalez was Central’s top finisher for the second straight meet and his time of 27:27 was good for 20th place. Pierre Taylor (senior, Oswego, Ill., Oswego HS) was close behind in 21st. The Dutch will race again Nov. 14 at the NCAA Division III Central Regional meet at the Oakland Acres Golf Course course near Grinnell.
