The new football districts will be announced a little earlier this year than in years past. Pleasantville football Coach Tim Koerselman says the new districts should be announced by the Iowa High School Athletic Association just after the first of the year. He says the Iowa High School Athletic Association hopes doing it this way makes things go a little smoother and eliminates some of the mistakes made two years ago when some schools were paired with teams they did not have on their non-district list. Once the Districts are announced, coaches will then be allowed to select five teams they would prefer to play in their two non-district games and submit those to the IHSAA allowing them more time to make those final decisions.
