A new smoked meat and barbecue restaurant opened in Knoxville Tuesday following a ribbon cutting on the corner of Roche and Main Streets. The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors helped welcome Findlay’s Smokehouse and Barbecue to town. Owner Dennis Findlay tells KNIA/KRLS News they came to town because the Knoxville location offers less overhead and is more cost-effective than a previous Des Moines location, and their meats they served during sprint car races by the Racetrack were well-received. Findlay says the Knoxville restaurant features both indoor seating and catering.
