The Pella City Council approved two resolutions to refinance existing loans during Tuesday night’s meeting. The refunding of the General Obligation refunding bonds and Electric Revenue refunding capital loan notes could save the city over $180,000. In other business, the Pella City Council approved a five-year agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation to use city streets and roads as a detour if a portion of Highway 14 has to be temporarily closed.
