Melcher-Dallas looks to contend in the Bluegrass Conference in girl’s basketball this season. Coach Jim Crozier says Melcher-Dallas and Twin Cedars along with Moulton-Udell, and Lamoni are the team to beat this season. Crozier says with two opportunities to win the conference, the regular season and the in-season tournament, he says that is a goal the girls have. Crozier ads at the end of the season last years the girls were playing as good as any team around. He hopes that carries over to the start of the season. Melcher-Dallas opens up the season traveling to Wayne tomorrow night. In related sports, the original season opener against Orient-Macksburg was postponed due to a conflict in scheduling, Crozier says that game will be rescheduled when a date is found.
