Hundreds of holiday shoppers were in downtown Pella Monday night to take part in the annual Christmas Open House Tour of Stores. Most stores stayed open until 8:00 p.m., and the particularly mild weather helped make the evening a success. Pella Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Karen Eischen thought the evening went particularly well.

“I think it’s gone wonderfully. With weather like this, you absolutely can’t go wrong. [There are] a lot of people walking around town checking all the merchandise out that is new for the holiday season and getting great gift ideas.”

The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio was there as well, playing Christmas music and accepting food donations for the 8th Annual KNIA/KRLS Food Drive. Help us fill up the Big Red Radio, and together, we can help fill the local food banks of Marion County.
