Knoxville Fire and Rescue and the Knoxville Rural Fire Department responded to a fire at Reed’s Automotive at 213 W Pleasant in Knoxville at approximately 5AM. Crews worked for over two hours in sub-zero temperatures to control the fire. The Pella FD, Indiana Township FD, Pleasantville Fire and Rescue, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and the Knoxville PD also responded. Knoxville FD Chief Mike Roberts says the cause of the fire is most likely an oil burner. Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Knoxville Township Fire Department, and Knoxville Police Department responded to Reed’s Friday when the fire rekindled, and remained on scene handling the situation.
