The case against a 19-year-old Swan resident charged with stealing several golf carts and leaving them in corn fields earlier this year was dismissed Friday. Court documents report Kristopher Goins’s case was dropped due to insufficient evidence to convict. Last week, Pleasantville police charged Goins with burglary in the third degree, and said the investigation into the theft of the carts at the Pleasantville Golf and Country Club is ongoing.
