It was not the prettiest game in the world but Knoxville will take a 35-31 win over Albia in Girls basketball last night. Both teams struggled to make any consistent shots, but in the end Knoxville came out on top. Alex Abens was the only Panther in double figures with ten points. Knoxville turns its attention back to the Little Hawkeye Conference tonight as Norwalk pays a visit. Coach Jim Utimarkt says the Warriors are mainly guard oriented…and he likes that match up. The boys fell to the Blue Demons 56-48 last night. After struggling in the first half with turnovers the Panthers found themselves in a close game but according to Coach Brad McWilliams just could not get a shot to fall. Luke Moore lead Knoxville with 18 points. The Panthers also host Norwalk tonight. You can hear the play-by-play on AM 1320 KNIA starting at six with Derek Cardwell and Chris Nicholls. It will also be streamed live on kniakrls.com.
