The Knoxville Recreation Center has extended open swim and gym times beginning Wednesday and running through early January.  That’s according to Brandon Nemmers, program supervisor at the recreation center.  He says open swim will be from 1 to 4 p.m., except on Christmas Eve, which will have a 1 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. swim time.  The Recreation center closes at 3 p.m. Christmas Eve and through Christmas Day, then opening back up at 7 a.m. Saturday.  The center will also close early at 5 p.m. New Years Eve and remain closed through New Year’s Day, then opening back up January 2^nd.   Nemmers also says open gym times will remain the same from 5 a.m. to noon then from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.
