Katie Thorton had a career high 27 points but the Melcher-Dallas girls fell to Orient-Macksburg 50-to-49 Saturday night. Coach Jim Crozier said the Saints led throughout the game but the Bulldogs came to take the lead by one with just a few second left. Melcher-Dallas had a one-and-one opportunity but missed the front end. The Saints will have one more game before the break as they host Mormon Trail on Tuesday.
