The Pella girls basketball team relies on a strong post game to set the foundation for their offense, but the Lady Dutch backcourt can also light it up from the perimeter if the opportunities present themselves. Senior guard Courtney Kelderman leads Pella with 10 three-pointers this season, but also leads the team in attempts with 44.

Pella Head Coach Jerod Garland says those numbers don’t portray an accurate picture of Kelderman’s potency from beyond the arc, because it took a while for her to adjust from volleyball to basketball. Still, Garland says Kelderman has the green light to take a three-point shot whenever she is open. The Pella girls are 6-1 overall and will return to action on January 5th against Knoxville.
