New Knoxville Mayor Don Zoutte held his first City Council meeting Monday evening. In his first Mayor’s report he stated that many companies have contacted him about wanting to open businesses in Knoxville and that he is working with the Zoning Laws Committee. The agenda also included discussion about the Current Sign Ordinance, the approval of downtown nightly street closures during various Knoxville Raceway events in May through September, and approval of the recommendation of Dan Findley to the Knoxville Fire and Rescue Department.
