Knoxville high school basketball fans are encouraged to trade their black and gold in for pink in order to help fight cancer. The local chapter of the American Cancer Society will hold a Coaches vs. Cancer Fundraiser on Tuesday January 26th at the girls and boys basketball games vs. Newton. In addition to cheering on the Panthers, fans can also participate in a silent auction, a pink paper airplane toss and 50/50 contest. $1 from each paid admission will go to the American Cancer Society. Fans are asked to wear pink to the event, and pink “Shooting for a Cure” t-shirts will also be available for purchase.
