The Pella girls and boys have tonight off. The girls don’t play until Tuesday when they host Norwalk and hope to bounce back strong after their loss to Knoxville. Coach Jarod Garland says they need to get quicker defensively especially on the perimiter, and get a little tougher inside. He says those are just a couple things they are working on improving before Tuesday. The boys meanwhile will host PCM tomorrow night. That’s a game that should be exciting for fans to watch because both teams like to run, and play aggressive defense, and both are loaded with talented players. Pella coach Mark Core says he was very pleased with thier defensive effort Tuesday against Knoxville and says they’ll need that again tomorrow to beat PCM. Pella enters tomorrows game with a record of 6-1 overall. From there they begin preparations for Tuesday when they host Norwalk. If Norwalk beats Pella Christian tonight, they would be tied with Pella for the top spot in the LHC entering that game.
