A small shed fire caused by a wood burner occurred at 701 Polk Street in Knoxville around 4:30 this morning. County road crews led the way for the Knoxville Rural Fire Department, Knoxville Fire Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s department as they made it to the scene. Knoxville Rural Fire Department Fire Chief Kenny Thompson says they never would have made it to the scene without the help of road crews. Thompson says it only took crews about 15 minutes to extinguish the fire and they were able to do so before it spread to the home. The deed of the home is held by Jonathon Paul Johnson.
