Knoxville went oh-and-four at the Grinnell Duals Saturday. The Panthers lost to Grinnell 60-24, Southeast Polk’s J-V 39-31, Norwalk 60-15, and Saydel 43-39. Lane Colwell went 4-0 on the day while Jay Fresh and Cody Baker went 3-1. Coach Eric Whitcome says many of the same mistakes reared their head again as on several occasions as the Panthers were in position to get a win, but could not close out the matches. The Panthers will get back in the practice room this week in preparation for their match against Newton on Thursday. Knoxville has rescheduled two matches that were called off due to weather. Last Thursday’s match against Oskaloosa is now rescheduled to January 19th, and the Pella match from earlier in the season has now been rescheduled to February ninth.
