The Central College women’s basketball team lost their second close game in a row last night, as the Dutch fell to Cornell 66-63 on a basket and free throw by the Rams in the closing seconds. Despite the tough loss, Central continued to see improvement in their interior offense with forward Haley Brillhart pouring in 19 points, six assists and a career-high five blocks. Center Andrea Clark and guard Ashley Gerst also chipped in 12 points apiece. The loss drops the Central women to 2-13 overall and 1-5 in the Iowa Conference; with a home game against Luther up next on Saturday.
