After suffering their first Little Hawkeye Conference loss Tuesday night to Norwalk, the Pella boys are moving forward and are ready to begin the second round of games in conference play. Head Coach Mark Core said even though they lost to the Warriors Tuesday, the atmosphere in the locker room afterwards was very positive. He says they focused on things they did well in the game, and he told them they just need to continue working hard in practice like they have been and good things will happen. He says although you never want to lose, they’re focusing on their main goal which is winning a state championship in March. He also says disappointments are part of life and you learn from them and move on. Pella is 7-2 on the season, but their two losses are by a combined four points and they are 6-1 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Pella begins their second round of games in the LHC tomorrow night when they host Newton. You can hear that game with Eric Gotschall on 92.1 FM KRLS.
