The city of Pleasantville has a new police chief. Jeremy Pettyjohn was brought before the city council at their regular meeting Monday night as the final candidate and was approved by the council. City Manager Brad Robbins tells KNIA KRLS news that Pettyjohn was originally an officer with the Pleasantville Police Department from 2007-2008 before taking a position in the city of Monroe. He will be returning to Pleasantville to take the Police Chief position.
