Marion County Sheriff’s Deputy Bobbi Bassett is retiring after 24 and a half years of service in Marion County. An open house will be held to celebrate Bassett’s retirement on Thursday from 1:30 to 3:30pm at the Marion County Law Enforcement Center. Sheriff Ron Goemaat says the department has begun the hiring process to find a new deputy and that they are scheduling interviews with candidates.
