Tonight is Homecoming for the Pella Christian girls basketball team, but the Eagles will have to tune out some of the outside distractions and instead focus on the task at hand if they hope to pick up a victory over Knoxville. The Eagles lost by 16 to the Panthers back in mid-December, and Pella Christian Head Coach Kevin Van Maanen says the it’s going to take strong play at both ends of the floor if they hope to hand the 8th ranked undefeated Panthers their first defeat. Knoxville Coach Jim Utiermarkt says Pella Christian is a team that does not make many mistakes…and he feels his team will have to bring their best effort to get the win. Pella Christian comes into the game with an overall record of 8-7, and a 5-4 mark in the Little Hawkeye Conference while Knoxville is 12-0 overall and undefeated in LHC play as well.
