The Pella Christian boys had another solid all around performance as they beat ADM Saturday afternoon 64-54. The Eagles trailed 7-1 early on but then went on a 10-2 run to end the first quarter leading 11-9 and gradually built their lead each quarter to get the win. The Eagles had four players score in double figures and saw some of their strongest post play of the season as Kyle Nikkel and Chase Carlson each recorded double doubles. Nikkel had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Carlson scored 12 while grabbing 11 rebounds. Alex Branderhorst also scored 15 points and Jon Holwerda added 10 as the Eagles improved to 13-3 on the season. Coach Larry Hessing said he was very pleased with their play and their intensity on both ends of the floor. Pella Christian is in action next at Pella Tuesday night where they hope to gain some revenge after Pella dominated them just before Christmas.
