The post season gets underway the next couple of weeks for our area girls and boys basketball teams. Twin Cedars and Melcher Dallas girls open post season play in Class 1A tonight as the Sabres host Moravia and teh Saints entertain Southeast Warren.

Saturday night the Pella Christian girls travel to PCM for the opening round of the Class 2A Regional tournament while Pleasantville hosts Van Meter.

Monday night the Pella Christian boys open the post season in Class 2A hosting Pleasantville, while PCM hosts CMB. In Class 1A Twin Cedars boys travel to Martensdale St Mary’s Monday night and Melcher Dallas boys get an opening round bye and will host Grandview Park Baptist next Thursday night.

Wednesday night the Pella girls open the Class 3A post season hosting Saydel while Knoxville hosts the team that handed them their only loss of the season just last week Norwalk.

The following week the Pella and Knoxville boys open post season play as Pella hosts Centerville on Monday February 22nd and Knoxville plays at Chariton with the two winners meeting in a second round matchup.
