For a third time this season Knoxville and Pella boy’s basketball teams will meet on the court.

Tonight the two Marion County rivals will go head-to-head in the class three-A District final at Oskaloosa. Knoxville turned up the defense in a 42-to-37 win over Chariton on Monday while Pella dominated Centerville 83-to-51. Knoxville Coach Brad McWilliams says it is not fun playing a team like Pella…but it beats not playing.

Pella Coach Mark Core says despite Knoxville’s record they know the Panthers are a good team capable of pulling the upset and they are expecting a tough game tonight.
Core says getting off to a quick start is key tonight as it is in any game to set the tone early and control the tempo.

The site will be Oskaloosa High School where both teams have played this season. You can hear the live broadcast on 92-point-one KRLS beginning at six-35 with Jamie Brockman and Randy Sikkema…and on AM 1320 KNIA with Derek Cardwell at six-45. The winner will advance to Sub State Monday at SE Polk to play Norwalk or Bondurant Farrar for the right to advance to state.
