The Central College women’s and men’s track and field teams will conclude action at the Iowa Conference Indoor Championships today.

The Central men are coming off of a high-scoring first day that put the Dutch in first place with 80.5 points – well ahead of defending champion Wartburg’s 47 points. Leading the way for the men was Ethan Miller, who won gold in both the pentathlon and long jump; and Matt Graber took first place in the shot put. Graber’s toss of 53 feet 10.25 inches shattered the Central College record by nearly two feet, and topped the conference record by over 11 inches.

On the women’s side, the Dutch won the 4×200 meter relay in a school record time of 1:45:50, while the Central pentathletes had four placewinners. Defending champion Wartburg is out in front in the women’s team standings with 66 points, with Central holding on to second place with 45 points.
