The Pella boys qualified for their 13th State Tournament appearance in school history with their win over Norwalk in the Sub State Game Monday night and their first since 2007.

A major reason for the success of this year’s team has been the balanced scoring and the fact that there’s no one star player on the team. Blaine Forsythe is one of four seniors on this years team and he says their team chemistry has been amazing. Forsythe says the success they enjoyed during football has carried over as many of the guys were also members of the state runner up football team this past fall.

Forsythe averages 10 points per game and drained four key free throws late to help ice that win over Norwalk. Pella will play Forest City Tuesday at 6:30pm at Wells Fargo Arena and you can hear live coverage with Jamie Brockman and Randy Sikkema on 92.1 FM KRLS
