The Pella boys basketball team once again will need their defense to shine if they hope to neat Forest City Tuesday night in the opening round of the Class 3A State Basketball tournament.

Coach Mark Core says Forest City has some very talented players including their point guard who loves to drive to the basket and create things off the drive. Core says all season they’ve emphasized their post defense but he says to beat Forest City their perimeter defense will have to be at its best. He also notes that defense has been a major reason for their successes this season.
