Rain halted the second half of the Central College baseball team’s doubleheader at Dubuque yesterday, but the Dutch were able to secure a solid win in the first game against the Spartans. Pitcher Corey Eisenmann threw a four-hitter to help the Dutch to a 6-1 win. Central peppered ten hits around the Dubuque defense, led by Ben Tressel, who had two hits, two runs and two RBIs in the game. The Dutch jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second game before the seven-inning contest was suspended. That game, along with a third game in the series are scheduled for this afternoon in Dubuque.
