Demolition of the old Boy Scout building in Knoxville took place this week to make room for green space and possible expansion in the future. According to Roslin Thompson, the Knoxville Public Library Board of Directors signed a contract earlier this year for the demolition of the building. Thompson says she is excited about the elimination of the building as the library plans to use the area for green space complete with flowers and benches for library visitors to enjoy. Thompson adds that hopes are for the library to be able to expand their facilities into that space in the future.
