After being postponed on two separate days by rain and severe weather, the Pella girls tennis team was finally able to resume their home meet with Knoxville yesterday, which the Little Dutch won 9-2. Pella Assistant Tennis Coach Christy De Jong says she was pleased with the way the girls opened the season.

“Our girls did a good job overall of working hard and finishing off point,” said De Jong. “We are kind of at a rebuilding season this year, so we were pleasantly surprised with their aggressiveness and how well they played with each other.”

Up next for the Pella girls tennis team is a home meet against Boone on Tuesday.
