The Pella boys golf team started their season off with a win in a conference triangular at Bos Landen yesterday shooting 161, Knoxville was second with 174 and South Tama shot 193. Pella’s top four were very strong as Ben Fessler took medalist honors firing an impressive 36, Lucas Boyd and Conner Kelderman each shot 40 and Andy Vanderbroek shot a 45. Knoxville was led by Chris Barkey who shot a 39 and earned runner up medalist honors, Blake McWilliams and Tyler Walters each shot 44 and Luke Brady shot 47. Knoxville won the JV meet by 31 strokes over Pella shooting a 201 led by Paul Gerver with a 46, Michael Van Zante led Pella with a 55.
