The weather held off until the very end of the Pella boys soccer team’s match with Oskaloosa, but the Little Dutch stormed the Oskaloosa defense for much of the contest as they tallied up a 4-0 victory over the Indians. Head Coach Mark Solomon said the combination of controlling possession and making good passes was key in the victory.

The Dutch were led offensively by Nolan Chiles, who scored twice on the Indians, while Tukker Bogaard and Brennan Mejia each recorded a goal and an assist. Tyler Elliot and Blake Bogaard also provided assists in the win. Solomon added that the team played well overall, and said strong play and passing by Zach Buchheit and Alex De Jong – who both came off the bench – was also key in securing the win for the Little Dutch.

The Pella boys are now 2-0 going into a big showdown today at home against No.5 Dallas Center Grimes.
