A brisk wind made an impact on yesterday’s Central College softball game, but to the advantage of the Dutch, as Central hammered Buena Vista University 12-4 and 12-2 in a pair of five-inning games to close out the Iowa Conference schedule. Katie Tenboer slammed two home runs and set a school record with six RBIs in the opener, and knocked in a total of nine runs between the two games – also a record – as she went 6-for-7 at the plate between the two games.
The No. 12-ranked Dutch softball team closes out the season third in the Iowa Conference with a 12-4 mark, and will end regular season play with a pair of games today at Gustavus Adolphus. The doubleheader will make it six games in four days for the Central College softball team.
