The Pella Chamber of Commerce tells KNIA KRLS that out of town construction companies have been knocking on doors asking to look at the homeowners roof for hail damage. They will then find damage, say they can repair it immediately, ask for a signature on a contract, and say that the company will take care of the deductible for the homeowner.

The Chamber suggests that you contact your insurance company for approval before any work begins, and that it would also be prudent to check with one of our local roofing companies or contractors for a second opinion on damage.
