The Summer Sports season starts tonight for Pella Christian baseball and softball as they both travel to Pleasantville to face the Trojans.

The Pella Christian baseball team has a lot of high hopes for this season as Coach Brad Rolffs says they return a lot of talent from last year’s team which enjoyed a lot of success. He also notes they have worked extremely hard and put a lot of time in during the off season and he’s very excited to see what they can do this season.

The Pella Christian softball team also returns quite a bit of talent from last season’s team and with a new coaching staff there’s a lot of excitement as they begin their season. Kevin Van Maanen resigned as head coach in February to spend more time with his family and also to devote more time to the girls basketball program and longtime assistant coach Kevin Van Wyk and former Eagle baseball player and current Pella Christian Bible instructor Nate Van Wyk have taken over as co-head coaches and are eager to make their debut tonight.
