The Pella Christian baseball team improved to 3-0 with their third win in three nights beating Albia 6-3 in their home opener last night.

After struggling in the season opener Monday, Sam DeNooy rebounded to get the win, pitching six solid innings, allowing six hits and three runs to go along with five strikeouts and five walks. Jon Hoiwerda closed it out pitching the seventh inning to get the save. [simage=2512,200,y,right]

The Eagles pounded out six hits led by Jon Holwerda who went 2-3 with a double and Kyle DeRonde who was 1-2 with a double. Zach Zylstra, Justin Pastoor, and John Rossler each had one hit and despite not having a hit, DeNooy scored two runs and stole three bases including home.

Pella Christian improved to 3-0 and after a night off tonight will host Clarke tomorrow night.
