Knoxville baseball is 3-0 on the season, and the Panthers took the unconventional route to sweeping Centerville. In game one Knoxville clubbed the Big Reds 12-1 in five innings as Kellen Glover got the win. In the nightcap, Knoxville found itself down 9-1 after three innings and proceeded to outscore Centerville 13-0 the rest of the way to win 14-9. Colton Spaur picked up the win for Knoxville. In related news, tonight’s game at Winterset has been set and will be in Winterset, however the varsity will play first at 5:30. According to Knoxville Athletic Director Randy Wilson, this is to get the varsity players back home early enough to be rested for the Ames Invitational on Saturday.
