The Pella Christian baseball team improved to 8-0 on the season with a 4-3 win at home over Ballard Huxley in non conference action last night. The Eagles used their home field advantage in the bottom of the seventh to get the win. With the game tied 3-3, Jon Holwerda reached base on an error, then stole second and third, a throwing error by the Bombers then allowed Holwerrda to come in and score the game winner. The Eagles showcased their pitching depth using three pitchers with Mark Van Zee credited with the win. At the plate, Zach Zylstra was 2-3 with a triple, Justin Pastoor and Tom Bouwkamp each had an RBI. The Eagles had six hits on the night as a team and improved to 8-0. They are scheduled to be home again tonight hosting Colfax Mingo in a JV/Varsity doubleheader starting at 5:30pm weather permitting.
