A youth summit for the tobacco prevention movement known as Just Eliminate Lies, or JEL, begins Thursday at Central College in Pella. Themed “Break the Connection,” the summit includes youth-led presentations about the dangers of tobacco use and trainings to help teens become effective health advocates in their communities. The summit runs through Saturday and is expected to draw around 200 high school and college-aged students.
