A familiar name is back in the coaching ranks in the area. Pella Native Stephanie Langstratt is in her first year as P-C-M’s softball coach. Langstratt was an assistant with Knoxville but when to New Mexico for a few years. She says softball is not supported as much in New Mexico as it is in Iowa, plus they play far fewer games and the season runs from January to May. She says she inherited a team that never had a winning season in their history, but by the time she was done, they had qualified for the state tournament.
