Marion County received a total of 3 tenths of an inch of rain over the weekend. That brought the rainfall total this month to 10.02 inches; breaking the old record of 8.24 inches of rain that was set for the first 20 days of June in 1917. Normal rainfall for the first 20 days of June is 2.95 inches. Last year we received 4.61 inches. In order to set a rainfall record for the month, Marion County must receive a total of more than 12.79 inches or just over 2.77 inches more before the end of the month, that record was set back in 1935.
